Terms of Service

1. Service and accounts

These Terms are an agreement between Node Mantis LLC, doing business as Node Mantis ("Node Mantis," "we," or "us"), and the person or organization using Node Mantis ("you"). They govern your use of our website, software, dashboard, APIs, and related services (the "Service").

By creating an account, obtaining an API key, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you can accept these Terms for it. If you cannot legally enter this agreement yourself, a parent or legal guardian must accept it for you. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

2. Your right to use Node Mantis

While you comply with these Terms, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for lawful personal or business purposes. You retain your rights in content you provide and give us permission to process it as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Service. We retain all rights in the Service and its software.

You may not resell access to the underlying cloud or AI services as a standalone pass-through service.

3. Acceptable use and oversight

You may not use the Service to harm, deceive, harass, exploit, or impersonate others; facilitate sexual exploitation, self-harm, terrorism or violent extremism, hateful abuse, weapons, malicious cyber activity, fraud, spam, or illegal goods or services; conduct prohibited surveillance, biometric identification, sensitive-trait inference, or profiling; violate another person's rights; or bypass safeguards or access controls.

Do not use the Service to make consequential decisions in employment, housing, credit, insurance, healthcare, legal services, or similar high-impact areas without appropriate human review and any safeguards required by law.

Automation can act quickly and make mistakes. You are responsible for setting appropriate limits, monitoring automated actions, reviewing results, and confirming consequential actions before relying on them.

4. AI and third-party websites

AI-generated results and automated actions may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. You are responsible for reviewing them and deciding whether they are suitable for your use.

Third-party websites are controlled by others. You are responsible for having permission to access and automate them and for complying with their terms and applicable law. We are not responsible for third-party websites, content, or changes.

5. Usage and credits

Usage is metered and deducted from your available balance as described in the Service. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law and may expire as stated when they are issued. We may change pricing prospectively with reasonable notice.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy at https://nodemantis.com/privacy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information and content processed through the Service.

7. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, address a violation of these Terms, comply with law, or address nonpayment. We may also discontinue the Service with reasonable notice when practical.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.

To the extent permitted by law, Node Mantis is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. These Terms do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above and provide additional notice when appropriate. Your continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
